Terms
Terms of use
These are the rules for using tinapps.com. They are short because the site is simple: free tools, no account, and your work stays on your own machine.
Accepting these terms
By using tinapps.com (“the site”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by Hossein Shams (“we”, “us”).
What the site provides
The site provides free browser-based utilities and reference material. No account is required and no fee is charged. Tools may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and the site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Because the tools run in your browser, their behaviour depends on your browser, your device, and its available memory. A tool may fail on a very large file for reasons that have nothing to do with the site.
Your files and your content
You keep every right in what you put into a tool. We claim no licence and no ownership over your files, images, text, or results, and we do not receive them: they are processed on your own device, as described in the privacy policy.
Output you produce with a tool is yours. You may use it for anything, including commercially, with no attribution required.
You are responsible for having the right to use the material you process, and for keeping your own backups. Work held only in a browser tab can be lost by a crash, a refresh, or a closed tab.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to process material you have no right to.
- Attempt to disrupt the site, probe or breach its security, or place automated load on it beyond ordinary human use.
- Scrape, republish, or resell the site’s written guides and reference data as a substitute for it, or present the tools as your own service.
- Interfere with, obscure, or artificially interact with advertising shown on the site.
Our content
The site’s name, design, code, written guides, and curated datasets are owned by us or used under licence, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print, and link to any page freely, and quote from it with attribution. You may not reproduce substantial parts of it elsewhere without permission.
Third-party names, standards, and file formats referenced in the reference libraries belong to their respective owners and are named for identification only.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Results are not professional advice. In particular, the finance calculators are educational models: they are not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, they simplify real products, and no decision with money at stake should rest on them alone. Verify anything that matters with a qualified professional and with the actual terms of the product concerned.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, nor for lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Third-party links and advertising
The site links to external references and displays advertising supplied by Google. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their products, or their privacy practices. Following an ad or an external link is at your own discretion.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the effective date above will change when they are, and continuing to use the site after that constitutes acceptance. They are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts sitting in Seattle, Washington are the venue for any dispute arising from them.
Questions about these terms go to hello@tinapps.com, or via the contact page.
